In this month, August’16 on FOI, I did the first series, World Cuisine Series. The series had recipes from different countries that celebrated local produce and local dishes from that country. In this post, I want to share a quick summary of those recipes, 8 in total. Try out the recipes and do let me know how they come out. If you like to see more of these kinds of series with different themes please drop in a comment on this post.
Aloo Paratha: The famous and loved stuffed bread from India was the 1st recipe

Panzanella: An unusual kind of salad made from bread and other fresh ingredients from Italy

Gazpacho: A cold soup, again made with fresh ingredients from Spain

Spinach Corn Cheddar Cheese Muffins: Fancy sounding and very tasty, bakery style Mexican style muffins and that too savoury

Baked Gem Squash: The perfect example of celebrating and eating locally grown vegetables from the land of South Africa

Apple Strudel: Decadent and fine dessert from the European country, Austria

Mac n Cheese: Kids favourite mac n cheese from America

Veg Hakka Noodles: Indo-Chinese hakka noodles loaded with vegetables and flavours

World Cuisine Series
So this is a round up of the first series on FOI. Whew! That was like introducing players in a 100m race line-up. My moment of Olympics 🙂 Hope you all like these recipes on FOI. Dear readers, as I am reaching post number 100 on FOI do share these recipes, make them, enjoy them with friends and family and most importantly love the food you eat! Happy cooking, baking and of course eating!

Loved this global roundup! Such a fun mix—from Indian aloo paratha to Austrian apple strudel. It’s great how you’ve celebrated local ingredients across cuisines. The baked gem squash and spinach corn muffins sound especially unique. Looking forward to more themed series like this—maybe a festive foods edition next?
Thank you! Yes sure why not! Will try to make more themes including our very own festival foods.
