Dalia Khichdi

Khichdi is great in any form. It is warming and has a feel good factor to it. It is the epitome of comfort food! But consuming rice can sometimes be boring. So to add a different kind of texture why not try this dalia khichdi.
Dalia is nothing but broken wheat and is similar to bulgur wheat but not the same. It cooks well and mixes well to make tasty dishes like this dalia khichdi. It is loaded with vegetables and lots of flavour.

I make this for winter evenings and the black pepper adds to the warmth. It can also be had for lunch and it gets ready in no time. Being a great alternative to rice, dalia is rich in fibre. It naturally becomes a great choice for those who are looking for healthier alternatives.
This dalia khichdi also offers no compromise in taste, it tastes really good and combines so well with the mung dal! Try other mung dal recipes from FOI. Try other khichdi recipes like ven pongal, Bengali khichuri or even this Sabudana khichdi
