Overnight oatmeal is nothing but soaking oats in a liquid (usually some kind of milk like cow’s milk or almond milk). Add any toppings or flavours you like, make it your own. I love the idea of translating ice cream flavours (without the guilt) *grin* into overnight oatmeals. I saw this idea on Pinterest.
This provides instant energy boost. As the name suggests, banana choco chip overnight oatmeal has sweet ripe bananas obviously along with fun choco chips. Add any kind of flavour you like, I have added honey and vanilla. Add any fixings you prefer like marmalades or jams along with any toppings you like.
Prepare this previous night and you are simply ready to go in the morning. Just put the kettle on for tea/coffee. While waiting for your morning hot drink to brew, quickly lap up this mug of instant goodness.

- 1¼ cup whole milk/almond milk or any milk of your choice
- ¼ cup yogurt
- 1 sliced ripe banana
- 2 tbsp choco chips
- 1 tsp honey
- ¼ tsp good vanilla essence
- In a bowl/jug, add rolled oats
- Add sliced bananas
- Drizzle in honey and vanilla essence
- Tip in choco chips
- Pour in milk
- Spoon in yogurt. Mix well
- As simple as that, mix really well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Let the milk do the trick
- Next morning, you can see the oats have soaked up the milk and turned soft
