Serves: 2-3 people
- 1 Cup salted/unsalted roasted skinned groundnuts/peanuts
- 6-7 whole wheat papdis
- 1 Cup or as required sev
- 1 Tsp oil
- 1 broken red chilli
- 6-7 curry leaves
- A pinch of hing/asafoetida
- ½ finely chopped small onion
- 2-3 Tbsp grated carrot
- ¼ Cup finely chopped cucumber
- ¼ Tsp red chilli powder
- ½ Tsp chaat masala
- 1 Tsp sugar
- ½ Tsp menthya hittu/methkoot (optional)
- Lemon juice
- Chopped coriander
- Heat oil, add red chilli and curry leaves with a pinch of hing/asafoetida and let them turn crisp
- In a bowl, add peanuts and broken papdis
- Add chopped onions, cucumber, grated carrot
- Sprinkle red chilli powder and chaat masala
- Top with sev as preferred
- Now add crisped up curry leaves and red chillies
- Toss everything after adding a little coriander and sugar
- Lastly sprinkle some menthya hittu/methkoot
- Squeeze in lemon juice and give a final toss
- Serve immediately and enjoy the crunchy fun!
Sprinkle salt if you are using unsalted peanuts
Add chopped tomato if you want
Serve immediately, other wise your peanut chaat will turn soggy and peanuts lose their crunch
