Serves: 1 small bowl
- 2-3 tender haagalkayi/bitter gourd/karela
- Salt to taste
- ½ Tsp sugar
- ¼ Tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ Tsp turmeric
- 1 Tsp oil
- Wash, peel and scoop out the seeds from the bitter gourd carefully
- Slice the haagalkayi thinly and add to a bowl, add all the masalas, slat, sugar, red chilli powder and turmeric
- Add little oil and mix well
- Spread onto a baking sheet evenly
- Roast in a pre-heated oven at 200 Deg C for 15-20 minutes or depending on the oven you have, check after every 5 minutes
- Remove when crisp and serve
You can also deep fry the chips, add a Tsp of besan or rice flour to get some binding
Adjust the masalas as per your taste
Ensure the haagalkayi/bitter gourd/karela is tender and not ripe or hard
