Banana Vanilla Custard with Custard Powder | Banana Custard

Serves: 1 big bowl
- 2 Tbsp vanilla custard powder
- 3 Tbsp + 2 Cups/500 Ml whole milk/full fat milk
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 4-5 fully ripe bananas
- 2 Tbsp raisins
- 7-8 cashews
- In a small bowl, add custard powder
- Slowly whisk in milk and make a thick paste
- Mix sugar into the paste and mix well
- In a pan, scald/heat slowly the remaining milk
- Remove from heat
- Slowly pour the custard paste into the milk and whisk it well
- Keep whisking so that no lumps are formed
- Bring it back to heat
- Let it thicken
- The custard starts to coat the spoon, turn off heat and let it cool
- Wash, peel and dice ripe bananas
- Take chopped banana into a bowl
- Whisk the custard and remove the custard skin if it is formed, pour the custard over the bananas
- Next add raisins and chopped cashews
- Mix very well
- Chill in the refrigerator for atleast 2 hours
- Serve chilled with a cherry on top!
Ensure the bananas are ripe
Adjust sugar as per your taste, or skip it altogether
Whole milk works best, skip the skimmed milk
