All things stewed, I love them, they are the ultimate comfort food. A simple vegetable stew in coconut milk is my go to recipe. Be it, as a side dish with neer dosa or with some plain or special jeera rice, this stew is my favourite. Some mixed vegetables like potato, carrot, beans and some soft green peas all stewed in a simple coconut milk based curry, ultimate!
Here I have used some simple whole garam masala like elaichi, laung, kali mirch and dalchini, all in very small amounts for a subtle fragrance. Vegetable stew in coconut milk surely does sound complicated and time consuming. But all it needs is a little preparation, chopping vegetables in my opinion is the biggest task in this recipe. ... “Vegetable Stew in Coconut Milk | Vegetable Stew | Curry Recipes”
Soft, loaded with fibre and nutrition, perfect to pack for lunch box, sabsige soppu paratha
09/26/2018 9:22:53 PM vindhyadesai
Today we are back with one more kid friendly, lunch box recipe from FOI. Sabsige soppu paratha or dill leaves paratha makes an excellent paratha to pack for the lunch box. These parathas do not have filling, the dill leaves are mixed with the atta and kneaded into a dough. They are then rolled out like plain parathas by folding them triangles.
As sabsige soppu paratha does not have any filling it does not turn soggy either. But the biggest advantage by far is you can feed kids some nutritious dill leaves which they generally tend to avoid. Dill leaves are rich in Vitamin A and fibre. ... “Sabsige Soppu Paratha | Dill Leaves Paratha | Paratha Recipes”

Nutritious, delicious, Karnataka style festival special dish – hesarubele kosambri
07/04/2017 10:11:30 PM vindhyadesai
There are some signature dishes from a South Indian festival or wedding meal. One of them has to be this hesarubele kosambri or mung dal kosambri. Kosambri means a lentil or a vegetable salad in Kannada.
One of the most important side dishes to be served but often ignored by people. The quantity served is usually quite less as hesarubele kosambri is meant to be a starter and is made from soaked mung lentil and is not cooked. It is high in protein and is meant to get one started with the meal. ... “Hesarubele Kosambri | Mung Dal Salad | Festival Recipes”
