As soon as I see ripe bananas 2 things come to my mind, a freshly baked banana bread loaf or a thick and yummy creamy milkshake. This time I again photoshot apple banana milkshake. I have already posted apple banana smoothie with granola. This time it is a simpler one with just ripe bananas and pulpy apple.
Optionally add some oats to make this wholesome and some ice cream for some decadence! I generally add honey to make milkshakes or smoothies but feel free to add sugar instead as per your taste. Use organic apple or peel them to avoid any wax. Make the apple banana milkshake and serve immediately or chill for a bit before serving. Banana is my favourite fruit to cook with. You can make so many dishes with it. Every part of the banana plant is edible and in fact we cook with most parts of banana/plantain plant. Ripe banana is such a boon, kids and adults alike like this fruit and the dishes made that are made with it. Banana appam or banana paddu is a traditional favourite at home and we make this for breakfast and for festivals.

Bananas are such a versatile fruit. It pairs up so well with so many dishes. Fruit salads, smoothies, milkshakes, cakes, brownies, I pretty much use bananas for everything. This time, banana in the form of traditional dosas for breakfast or for a snack. Soaked rice ground with mashed bananas result in a sweet and soft baalehannina dosa.
These are fun to eat for everyone and the elaichi added to these dosas make them very flavourful. But making dosas means the need to make sides like chutneys.
