Flavourful, fragrant and filling, methi matar paneer pulao

Pulaos and bhaat are my favourite items to pack for lunch box. Ideal to just heat up and eat without any mess. Being made of rice I generally restrict this affair to once a week. Not that we do not consume rice but it’s mostly in the form of curd rice (done! stamped! my absolute fav!). This methi matar paneer pulao is special and I make it once in a while.
An easy one-pot rice dish from FOI once again. It has fragrant whole garam masala making it extremely flavourful. This methi matar paneer pulao has not 1 not 2 but 3 protagonists as is apparent from the name of the dish! ... “Methi Matar Paneer Pulao | Paneer Recipes | Pulao Recipes”

Menthya Soppina Bhaat | Methi Bhaat | Bhaat Recipes

Flavourful and tasty, pack for your lunch box – special menthya soppina bhaat
05/13/2017 10:11:34 PM vindhyadesai

Any rice bhaat or pulao made with fresh homemade masala is very flavourful. Years ago when I was learning cooking and experimenting with recipes I developed this masala for menthya soppina bhaat. The most important thing I learnt while making this masala was that toor dal enhances and actually brings out the taste of methi leaves/menthya soppu.
I can easily say this is my favourite bhaat of all time. It is so flavourful and aromatic without using a lot of strong spices. Light subtle spices along with desi ghee make this menthya soppina bhaat sing and dance with glory 🙂 ... “Menthya Soppina Bhaat | Methi Bhaat | Bhaat Recipes”

Any day it’s our home style food that will make us feel comforted. These are the dishes your mom or granny used to make isn’t it? It will immediately make one nostalgic! My home style kind of food is South Indian food especially dishes like Karnataka style majjige huli (huLi).
Karnataka style majjige huli has ground coconut as the main ingredient along with kadale bele a.k.a chana dal. These two are ground together with minimal spices making extremely flavourful and nice and thick!
I really love to lap up Karnataka style majjige huli. A steaming bowl of rice along with a few sandige (fryums or fritters) and a pickle to taste on the side. Palak Paratha | How to make palak paratha? | Paratha Recipes

Soft, green, tasty, delicious and kid friendly palak paratha
02/20/2017 9:05:35 PM vindhyadesai

Spinach or palak is a super vegetable/greens. It is loaded with nutrients and fibre and especially good for children. Because eating spinach is somewhat clichéd, children get into the habit of not consuming this wonder vegetable/greens. But add palak into soft palak paratha, they will come back for more.
Try and incorporate vegetable/greens into the dish itself so that it cannot be separated out. It makes wonderful soft parathas and is a great dish for lunch box, picnics or travel.
Palak paratha is quite simple to make although it does require a bit of preparation. But it is worth the effort as it does not require any side dish but you can make do with some yogurt on the side. Throw in some pickle if serving to adults. ... “Palak Paratha | How to make palak paratha? | Paratha Recipes”
