If you have a lot of ripe mangoes at home when in season, whip up this super easy mango milkshake. Thick, creamy and chilled mango milkshake is one of the best ways to enjoy mangoes. I usually do not add any sugar, add some sugar if you like it sweet or the mangoes are a little sour. Ensure not to use very sour mangoes.

Recipe type: Beverage/Drink
Cuisine: Indian
Serves: 2 Big Glasses
Ingredients
  • 2-3 ripe pulpy mangoes
  • 400 Ml or 1¾ Cups~ whole milk (full fat milk)
To Serve:
  • Elaichi powder
  • Halved cherry
  • Mango piece or pulp
Method
  1. Lightly press the ripe mangoes, squeeze out the pulp from around the seed and skins
  2. Add pulp into a blender
  3. Add milk and blend till smooth
  4. Chill it for sometime and sprinkle elaichi/cardamom powder on top
  5. Serve chilled with a halved cherry or some chopped mangoes or just plain
Notes
1%, 2%, skimmed, semi-skimmed milk or for vegans, almond milk or soya milk

Always squeeze out the pulp in small bowl for a mango, add this pulp to a bigger bowl if it is good and sweet. Repeat with same bowl for other mangoes. This way if one mango is bad it will not spoil rest of the mango pulp

You can chop up the mangoes if you want and then make milkshake

I have used Alphonso variety here, any pulpy sweet variety will make a good milkshake

Adjust milk for thickness or thinness of milkshake
