Majjige Dosa

Recipes of dosas which do not involve a whole lot of ingredients to soak and grind are my favourite kind of dosas. Majjige dosa or buttermilk dosa is one of those kind of dosas. Simple, light dosas, these are easy on the stomach too!
Making majjige dosa involves only 3 main simple ingredients, rice, poha, buttermilk. Although this dosa batter needs fermentation, you can easily get away with fermenting the batter for only a few hours(3-4).

Buttermilk/majjige adds a slight tanginess to dosas and makes them soft, white and light. Majjige dosa is kid-friendly too, they will definitely like the texture and taste. I am sure they will even come back for more than one.
Majjige dosa can be served with any kind of chutney, here I have served them with tomato-onion chutney. Perfect combo!
If you love dosas, why not try masala dosa, set dosa, neer dosa. More dosa recipes… More breakfast recipes on FOI.
Choose from chutneys or dosa idli dishes for this dosa.
