Mango kesari - a twist on the traditional kesari with delicious in season mango flavours
Ingredients
  • ¼ Cup chiroti rava/small rava
  • 2-3 Tbsp ghee
  • 1 mango (1/2 Cup puree~)
  • 2-3 powdered elaichi
  • A big pinch of saffron
  • ⅓ Cup sugar (or upto ½ Cup)
  • 2-3 Tbsp milk
Method
  1. Add rava into ghee and start roasting it
  2. Roast rava till it releases aroma
  3. Purée mango, elaichi, saffron, sugar
  4. Turn off heat on rava, add puree and mix well
  5. Next add 2-3 tbsp milk and mix
  6. Cook till done and liquid gets absorbed
  7. Add a little ghee on top!
  8. Garnish with cashews and serve, warm or at room temperature
Notes
I used Alphonso mango. Use a sweet variety with lesser fibre

Add sugar as per taste and as per taste of mango

Use full cream milk for a rich taste

Add raisins to the kesari if you want
