- 1 cup groundnuts/peanuts
- ¾ cup grated/softened jaggery
- 2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter
- Roast the groundnuts. Roast them till they release their nutty aroma and are lightly coloured on their skin
- Peel off the skins from some groundnuts by rubbing the roasted groundnuts. Blow off the loosened skins
- Coarsely grind the groundnuts and put it in a bowl
- Add grated jaggery to the ground groundnuts
- Add the ghee/clarified butter
- Mix well till all 3 ingredients are well combined
- Gather some mixture together into you palm and start making balls. Press them a little and shape them into balls
- Make balls out of the remaining mixture and store them in an airtight container
Add more ghee/clarified butter if the mixture feels dry
Use any kind of groundnut/peanut you have. Make sure they are unsalted
