Serves: 2 people
- 1 Cup noodles
- ¼ Cup diced celery
- 1 fresh red chilli
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1" ginger
- ¼ Tsp black pepper
- ½ Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tsp vinegar
- ½ Tbsp less salt soya sauce
- 1 Tsp chilli oil
- 1 Tsp honey
- Coarse sea salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp cornflour
- Juice of ½ lime
- In a blender or mixer jar, add diced celery and roughly chopped fresh red chilli
- Next add grated ginger, garlic
- Add black pepper, sugar
- Pour vinegar, soya sauce, chilli oil and honey
- Season with coarse sea salt as per your taste
- Squeeze in juice of ½ a lime
- Add cornstarch
- Add 2 Tbsp water and grind into a thick paste
- Boil noodles as per packet instructions
- Empty the ground paste into the noodles
- Give a quick boil
- Serve piping hot!
Use red chilli as per your preference, restrict to a small piece if you want less heat
This can be served without noodles also but gives a bit of body and is filling
Add spring onions instead of celery
