All things stewed, I love them, they are the ultimate comfort food. A simple vegetable stew in coconut milk is my go to recipe. Be it, as a side dish with neer dosa or with some plain or special jeera rice, this stew is my favourite. Some mixed vegetables like potato, carrot, beans and some soft green peas all stewed in a simple coconut milk based curry, ultimate!
Here I have used some simple whole garam masala like elaichi, laung, kali mirch and dalchini, all in very small amounts for a subtle fragrance. Vegetable stew in coconut milk surely does sound complicated and time consuming. But all it needs is a little preparation, chopping vegetables in my opinion is the biggest task in this recipe. ... “Vegetable Stew in Coconut Milk | Vegetable Stew | Curry Recipes”
Simple sabzi to go with rotis or phulka, aloo mooli saag or aloo mooli sabzi
09/08/2018 5:30:00 PM vindhyadesai
More often than not, we throw away nutritional leaves or stems that we buy with the vegetables. Radish leaves, beet greens, peels of vegetables etc all get thrown away. Ensure you always use organic vegetables so you can actually use these tender leaves and stems. This aloo mooli saag is a great way of using tender and fresh radish leaves.
Aloo Mooli saag serves as a side dish with roti/phulka. I had served aloo mooli saag with red rice akki roti. With some simple spice powders like lal mirch, amchur powder you can make a quick and simple sabzi to go on the side. You can choose to parboil the potatoes and then dice them which will hasten the cooking process. ... “Aloo Mooli Saag | Potato Radish Leaves Sabzi | Sabzi Recipes”
Healthy & nutritious, turmeric ginger pickle, bright coloured achar with some simple spices

In Indian cuisine, turmeric plays a very important part. The bright yellow coloured root is usually available in the form of a powder which is used as a spice in cooking. ‘Curcumin’ the main nutrient in turmeric is a known anti-inflammatory agent. Turmeric root is also a very useful cooking ingredient, it can be used in soup broths, chutneys or in this turmeric ginger pickle (haldi adrak achar).
Turmeric ginger pickle is nothing but chopped raw turmeric and ginger root pickled with salt and lemon juice. I have added saunf here to give it a Gujarati tinge and it works very well in this turmeric ginger pickle. Always ensure to make pickles in a clean and dry environment. Sterilise the containers in which you will store the pickle. ... “Turmeric Ginger Pickle | Haldi Adrak Achar | Pickle Recipes”
